Oda Reveals Plans To Go On A 2 Week Break

- Oda Plans For The OPLA
One Piece manga going on a hiatus shouldn't come as a surprise to any fan. Oda often takes breaks following a short run of chapters. A few years ago, Oda used to take breaks after every 5 or so chapters. At times, Oda even used to deliver 6 chapters in a row before taking a break. However, with time, and all the exhaustion that comes with working on a manga for over 25 years, Oda started to take more breaks. Slowly, a break after every 6 or 5 chapters turned into a break after every four chapters and that went on for quite a while. More recently, Oda has switched his schedule from a break after every four chapters to every three chapters.

Usually, that is the pattern that Oda follows, this simply means that most months, fans get around three chapters, with one break week. Lately, however, Oda has been taking more breaks than ever before. This has likely got to do with the fact that Oda is more exhausted than ever and, at the same time, the fact that he's also juggling multiple projects, such as the One Piece Live Action series.

This means that breaks are more frequent, and, at other times, longer than usual, as is the case with the break that follows One Piece chapter 1130. Fans know that Oda dropped what can be considered to be one of the best chapters this week, but now, the manga is going on a break. However, instead of a one-week break, fans will have to endure a 2-week break. This means that the next One Piece chapter will drop in 3 weeks, as Oda is taking two weekends off. The reason for this break was recently announced, and it has likely to do with the One Piece Live Action series, which Oda is giving his input on in some way or form.
Oda recently went to South Africa as well, where shooting for One Piece Live Action was underway. He has now seemingly returned from South Africa, as was announced recently. Now, because of Oda's involvement in One Piece Live Action Season 2, fans know that the series is going to go on a short break, and the manga will return in the month of November.

While Oda will focus on information about One Piece Live Action next week, the week after that, which is November 4th, 2024, Oda will do a question and answer session and reveal more information about One Piece and what it holds for the fans in the future. Fans don't exactly know what these questions will be about, but, at the very least, they can expect them to have something to do with the Elbaf Arc. Oda will be asked 10 questions, and he will provide answers to every single one of them, which sets the expectations of the fans very high. These 10 questions could cover some of the most important stuff, especially when taking into consideration the fact that One Piece might just be in its biggest arc of all time.

Perhaps, he might even reveal a major hint about what the One Piece is, or in what direction he wants Elbaf to head in. Oda has often revealed quite a lot of exciting clues, such as through messages in Jump Festa, every year. This is his opportunity to excite the fans even more, and, perhaps even provide some exciting information pertaining to his own characters. Regardless of which way this question-answer event goes, fans know that it is going to be exciting and that it will certainly fill in the void left behind by the manga.
