Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Consolidated List of Bugs, Suggestions and Feedback (2)Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Consolidated List of Bugs, Suggestions and Feedback

IMPORTANT: The list of bugs and improvement suggestions for Update 2 is at the end of this thread, in the latest post.

I've decided to open an exclusive thread with the complete list of bug reports and improvement suggestions to keep things organized. I will update it as I collect more information shared by you.

I made two posts: the first one was made for Bugs Reports and the second one for Improvement Suggestions.

NOTE: Starting today [21/02/24], I will always add the latest updates at the end of each corresponding section, except for all of those I posted before creating this thread.

[UPDATED LIST: 11/04/24]

BUGS REPORTS:

[ALL GAMES] LIST OF "BUGS"

:

• Photo Mode: A few of the poses for photo mode really need fixing. Mainly the waving one and the underwater one. Her elbows are bent on the wrong axis and look as if they’re broken.
• Some textures are not connected well with others and some are really stretched.
• There is noticeable stuttering when the original graphics are being used and also something like buffer load in FMVs sequences. There are stability problems in-game and FPS drops and audio desync on FMV sequences.
• There is some FPS drops with some lightning effects on remaster version. It also happens when exiting the inventory, it seems related to V-Sync enabled.
• In enhanced mode, camera can clip into Lara's head when placing Lara in a corner and pressing the look button. If Lara is next to a wall and I press the right mouse button to see what is in front of her, I only see her teeth and ears.
• Fix the GoG overlay issue. It causes the screen to just turn pure black if you try to use it, take screen shots, or unlock an achievement.
• Some of the SFX loops sounds weird. Most of the audio loops (rolling balls, sliding off a ledge) repeatedly break for half a second.
• Some switches and keys are very hidden in the dark.
• Sometimes the Camera zooms out very far from Lara using tank controls.
• [PC] Occasionally the game will micro-pause, which cancels any key being pressed. If Lara is shimmying on a ledge, the pause will cause her to fall, regardless of if the key is being pressed. If Lara is shooting, or performing a running jump, this micro-pause will cause Lara to cancel these actions.
• Some cutscenes refuse to play.
• Sometimes if Lara falls from a great height into the mud her falling expression will remain after the fall, unless she draws a weapon.
• [Reported on XBOX version] Tank controls: Pressing inventory button while holding onto a ledge, ladder, etc. (keeping the action button pressed) makes Lara drop off the ledge. This was never an issue in the original games on Windows (if you remembered to disable Ctrl+ESC key combo in Windows, or used F5-F6 to save/load your game)
• [Reported on XBOX version] Modern controls: When Lara runs out of ammo, she fails to switch to pistols automatically. Instead, she draws and puts the gun away indefinitely when you press the shoot button. I could reproduce the bug in TR2 and TR3 remaster, but not TR1.
• If you jump from a cliff into quicksand and Lara screams, when she gets ouf the quicksand she will keep the shocked facial expression. It dissapears when you draw a gun. Happened in Coastal Village.
• If you select "0" dead zone in the settings, the camera will always drift away in Photo mode even when you don't touch the controller. It seems to only happen when using a controller as well.
• Something I've noticed happening on all three games in both classic and updated graphics, is that sometimes while making minor direction adjustments while running and going back to hold forward, Lara will instantly snap back into her straight up running position instead of gradually lessening her tilt from turning. It only seems to happen when using the analog sticks of my controller to control movement. I didn't notice the problem when using the d-pad or keyboard.
• I think all push buttons start out in the pushed state? They "come out" when Lara pushes them, which wasn't how they worked originally.
• [PC] If you pause the game for a few minutes and PC goes into sleep mode, when it returns to normal, the game screen will freeze for 1 or 2 minutes. Please fix this. Sleep mode or screensaver shouldn't be activated during the game.
• [Xbox Series X] I found it impossible to play with the controller in any mode (tank or modern) so I installed a keyboard. It's how I played it a long time ago. But I have a problem, if I press jump with any arrow key at the same time, Lara stays jumping until I press the jump button (Alt) again. I have detected that if I press jump and immediately press a direction button it does not happen, but in the middle of a fight it is impossible not to press two buttons at the same time.
• I'm having some issues with the left analog stick. When I move Lara forward with a very light press on the stick, sometimes she takes a small hop forward (as I expect her to), but often she starts running, sometimes even for 2-3 seconds after I've released the pressure on the stick. I don't think it's an issue with my controller because it doesn't happen with other games.
• After completing a level in New Game+, the game asks if you want to save your game. If you select yes, the save slots will move extremely fast when you try to select one.
• [Xbox One S version] Basically, the sound keeps stuttering every few minutes, especially when music plays.
• The ACTION button keys cancel themselves out, e.g. left CTRL vs right CTRL.
• The RESTART LEVEL option is missing on NG+.
• [PlayStation 5 version] When I click on the 'resume gameplay' button on my Playstation 5 I often had the issue where the first level of a totally different game or expansion would startup instead of the level I was actually playing.
• I've noticed there are covers (and remakes of the covers) for the JP versions present in the main menu icon sheets, but these don't seem to be implemented.
• [Xbox version] Unfortunately my game saves are not transferring via the cloud, and the only option I’m getting is to restart each remaster every time, even though the number of saves I’ve made is being recorded.
[UPDATE #1]
• There are too many structural inconsistencies on the skylight cracks and open ceilings after Update 1. Mainly on St. Francis Folly and Maria Doria levels, but this problem is present in other levels too.
• The water reflection is still missing. Also, it needs distortions, caustics, and some fog.
• I've noticed, using a controller (XInput to be precise), the "Save Game" dialog between levels in NG+ scrolls extremely fast when selecting a slot, and it doesn't seem to save your last position in the menu, the way the passport does. It also occurs with the keyboard.
• [PC version]: The audio/video still desyncs during FMVs sequences on Steam version.
• [Xbox Series X version]: When using Quick Resume, the game resumes where I left off but is frozen. - While in game, shut the console off. Turn the console back on. Launch the game and the game opens to the screen you left off at but is frozen and requires the game to be quit and relaunched.
• [PS5 version]: When entering at the inventory menu while Lara is climbing, she also falls off a ladder and loses grip if you go into the backpack, that was also never the case. I noticed the backpack only opens if you let go off the button, not by pushing it, maybe this interfers with the flare problem, since the same button is used for the combination?
• I think something weird happened to the water effect in classic mode after the 1st patch: it seems like its animation has sped up and it's... Really weird. You can notice it on the "raindrops" water in Jungle and with the puddle at the start of Nevada (behind the quicksand).
• [Modern controls] When crouch, Lara gets stuck when she is in front of a ledge.
• [PC version] If you reassign the look key to Num 0 (like in the original game), the function will work but the sunglasses cheat will be broken. If you restore the look key to the original key, the cheat works.
• The movable blocks slightly change position each time right before Lara starts pulling it. They kind of snap into position for the animation's sake. I don't think the OG games had this issue.

[TOMB RAIDER 1 / TOMB RAIDER 1 GOLD] LIST OF "BUGS"

:

• The item count for Atlantis should be reduced to 50 like it was in the orignal so that it is possible to get the All Items Achievement. Fix the 51 pick-up requirement in Atlantis when only 50 can be obtained.
• I noticed on the garden floor outside the very first window where you start the Croft Manor level in TR1 that there's very obvious z-fighting going on between the gravel and a hedge.
• There is a sound glitch after entering and exiting the inventory, cutting out inventory SFX and in-game SFX immediately after exiting.
• There are occasional graphical glitches, sometimes seen on doors. The exterior of Lara’s Home and a room in Tomb of Tihocan also come to mind.
• The running water effect in Lost Valley does not work.
• Photo Mode: when you move close to a 3D object, it disappears on screen.
• The subtitle for the "sorry about the crates" line is too short and is gone before the audio is over. In fact, Many subtitles are cut off way too early, before the audio line finishes, making them close to impossible to read properly.
• If I ever replenish my health with a large first aid kit, Lara will stop responding to the controls. I have to go to inventory and back.
• In the original game, Lara's grunts when shimmy siding is random. However in this remaster, no matter if you're using classic or enhanced mode, Lara grunts every time she shimmies along a ledge. Moreover, if she gets to the left end of the ledge and you keep pressing left repeatedly, she'll grunt every time you do so, even if she won't move anymore. However, this won't happen if Lara reaches the right end of a ledge.
• Lara's shimmying SFX in TR1 apparently got messed up. In the original she woud occassionally make a strained sound, but now she is grunting incessantly, which is quite annoying to hear.
• Collecting all Items in one go Trophy is glitched.
• Flying Atlanteans fly into the ceilings and walls when targeted.
• The trophy for getting the gold idol in vilcabamba and getting out of the room by the same window is bugged, it didn't triggered for me on Steam.
• Lara's braid looks like it has heartbeats. In Lara's home, you can see it squeeze in and out, it's very weird.
• One of the panthers doesn't cause any damage, and no explosion sounds play when you kill mummies. And when mummies explode, their limbs are bright green like a greenscreen.
• I didn't get the Codex of Egypt achievement despite that I perfected each level with all secrets and items found.
• City of Vilcabamba: Disconnected vertices/unintentional gap on the ceiling in Vilcabamba.
• City of Vilcabamba: the second ornate metal golden door very obviously floats in thin air. Should be moved back into the hallway.
• Lost Valley: Got stuck, clipped into the wall next to the double waterfalls.
• Lost Valley: The lighting on the T-Rex can look strangely bright and glossy when he's in the middle of the Valley.
• Lost Valley: Some waterfalls have no sound effect when you come close to them in this same level.
• St. Francis Folly: Fix water mistexture in 3rd secret and in the end underwater corridor in Coliseum level (it's a painting).
• St. Francis Folly: There's a tile in the Neptune room that seems to be incorrectly rotated/wrongly implemented instead of a corner tile.
• The Colosseum: In the underwater section (the bit you unlock with a key which takes you to the exit of the level) if you look back behind you after swimming a bit towards the exit there’s a texture of a black painting stretched all the way down to the floor.
• Palace Midas: There is a weird floating bright rectangle thing in the sand room with the column that disappears when I get close. Just figured out why! There's a hole in the roof near the pull block that lets you look at the sky outside. The sky that shouldn't be there because there is a WHOLE ROOM above that hole!
• Palace Midas: In this level, where the block must be moved to collapse the column, there is a hole showing the skybox when what we should be seeing is the chamber directly above.
• Palace Midas: Lara's sparkling hand when transforming bars into gold have the same effect as original graphics.
• Palace Midas: Midas hand in ceiling looks wrong at some angles.
• The Cistern: sometimes you can see a floating alligator near the big pool and all around.
• In Cistern and Tomb of Tihocan, the brick floor textures... The straight, corner and intersection versions do not line up, they're in completely different styles basically.
• Tomb of Tihocan: The clank-clank doors are sticking out and open weird where you fight Pierre.
• Tomb of Tihocan: In the 4 rats room on Tomb of Tihocan there is this weird black graphic over this particular door if you stand to look at it from a distance. It's even weirder in classic graphics. It turns into a black ball that disappears too up close.
• City of Khamoon: Visual bug on chests in Egypt.
• City of Khamoon: There’s a statue missing in the cat room on new graphics.
• City of Khamoon: The room full of panteras needs to be darker, just like the original game, unless you push the switch on the wall.
• City of Khamoon: I experienced two absolutely pitch black hallways in TR1, in the dark room with panteras.
• Natla's Mines: I couldn’t remember how to get the conveyor belt fuse so I passed cowboy and got the shotgun and pulled the TNT switch before getting that fuse. When I went back to the fuse, the conveyor belt was somehow on and the fuse was nowhere to be found. It had disappeared, leaving me with no way to get my pistols.
• Some lightning on Natla's Mines and Atlantis is very bright. And if Lara dies falling on the lava is very bright too.
• Atlantis: When looking from the Throne room to the slope into the previous room, at some angles a wall texture is visible at the room boundary. The texture vanishes and reappears with camera movement. Also, behind Throne next to the exit of the trap room there's some visual artefact ( a small pyramid shaped 3D object) floating in mid-air.
• Atlantis: After luring the Doppelganger into the lava pit, the exit door did not open. The camera momentarily showed the trapdoor once Lara stood in the correct spot, but I could not see the body falling nor hear the "splat" sound.
• I had a flipmap issue in UB: after collecting the third secret in Temple of the Cat, you go up a ramp, dodge a boulder and then fight a panther. Afterwards, there's a couple alcoves, two of which have pickups that need to be collected, in order for the grates in the other three to open/disappear. I collected the pickups but the grates were still there. I mean, I could pass through them at that point, but the texture of the grate was still there, both in OG and Remastered mode. I did so, and then the golden "bridge" in the bright room with the stairs was gone, even though I'd already pulled the lever for it. Is this an OG bug, or similar to Steve of Warr's problem with the water in St. Francis' Folly?
• Atlantean Stronghold: There's a missing texture on the wall, just in the entrance to the highest platform when you must dive into the hole.
• Cat Temple: There's a invisible fence in the secret at the end of the level.
• Cat Temple: You can see the next room if you go up to the highest area, at the end of the level. (See link below with image)
• Cat Temple: When Lara enters the cat temple, she must flip a switch to turn on the lights. But in modern mode the lights are already on, while in classic mode they are off as they should be. Besides, you have an achievement for turning on the light.
• TR1Gold: I've noticed several instances where, if a room is flooded by flipmap, sometimes the surface texture of where the water was at initially, will still remain there. It's purely a visual bug, but this isn't present in OG mode.
• Colosseum: One of the pillars in the different height pillar room is seen disappearing while you're jumping on them.
• City of Khamoon: The movable block between the small Sphinx can be pushed too far back onto a surface that's not flat, making Lara glitch through the block with her pushing block animation and making the block drop down 1 click.
• City of Khamoon: The trapdoors of the big room where the sand should fall into somehow already opens when you stand below them, showing sky. This whole system of how it should properly open with the switch doesn't work.
• Atlantis: In this level, quite high up, I can't say exactly how high but I haven't encountered inside out Lara yet but must be close if that helps! You come into the central room, cross over, and there's an automatic door. If you go through the door and immediately run back as it shuts, you are trapped in an invisible block, the screen goes weird pans about a bit etc, anyway it's reload time! I've noticed if you go through and wait for it to shut, you can't run back as far as the door, hence the invisible block. I'm playing on Switch.
• Atlantis: The atlanteans disappear into walls a lot, especially the fling type in the central column.
• In multiple cases a "water draining" or "water pouring" sound effect when using a switch is missing (one that comes to mind is in the start of St Francis Folly). Would be best to check all of these instances again and add this where its missing. Could very well be an OG glitch, but one that needs fixing nevertheless.
• Obelisk of Khamoon: While swimming in the tunnel below the obelisk of Khamoon, and swimming into the alcove with the shotgun bullets in it, Lara suddenly floated right through the wall and out of the room into the nothing. The camera remained inside of the tunnel and I couldn't see Lara anymore. All I could do was reload. This was on PS5 using modern controls.
• Sanctuary of the Scion: The back of the headpiece of the right huge statue is missing. It shows an empty void.
• I noticed that crumbling floor tiles don't make any sound when falling into water or when hitting the floor on their way down. It makes these things sound disconnected and unrealistic.
• Sanctuary of the Scion: The switch slith texture behind the switch on the foot of the right huge statue isn't tall enough, which results in the switch going out of the slith at the top.
• Natla's Mines: After defeating Cowboy and looping back several times to room with the fuses and hanging building (it was dropped at this point) the building disappeared completely. No collision at all just like it disappeared in thin air.
• Natla's Mines: When the pistol cage/building drops down suddenly the color of the cage is a lot different from when it was suspended.
• Natla's Mines: Fix misplaced and z-fighting atlantean styled doors.
• Natla's Mines: Fix movable blocks standing out very much with bright lighting.
• Colosseum: The two metal gates in the metal gates puzzle don't make a sound when they are both opened with the metal plate trigger on the other side of the room, while they do when the triggers close to them are used.
• Colosseum: These same metal gates have geometry holes on the sides of the horizontal bars.
• Colosseum: The top arch textures of the room with the pillars and the timed secret door, doesn't blend properly with the straight pillar texture below it. It looks darker, creating an obvious seam. Also the secret door's texture doesn't properly match the textures beside it.
• Atlantean Stronghold: Encountered a very strange glitch. It was towards the beginning of the level and I was in the area right before you drop down the long pit. I jumped towards a certain corner and got stuck in limbo, with Lara disappearing entirely and I was somehow way above the world map. It was bizarre. Funnily enough, I got an achievement during that part, the one where you get Lara to scream twice in a single fall, even though there was no screaming heard!
• Atlantis: The transparent 1st floor platform in the first area still has the problem that the back faces of the sides are invisible and there is still missing geometry on the solid sides of these platforms. This entire platform structure needs careful review.
• Atlantis: All the doors have very noticeable Z-Fighting visible when they are opened.
• Atlantis: The movable corridor Lava objects lack a glow effect like the textures, and the flat top side (visible in the Great Pyramid level where several of these are used) really make these look like a stage set piece instead of actual lava.
• Natla's Mines: Several locations have unexplained/unjustified lighting come out of nowhere. Like when you're pushing a block, one second it's dark, the next is like Lara is standing next to the sun.
• Atlantean Stronghold: in HD mode, the fleshy "fences" in the room below the 4 holed diagonal slope is missing the pillar in the middle, on the corner. This makes it even more likely that players will skip more than half of the level by simply jumping in between these fences, into the water below, towards the level end. I never played this level before and this is exactly what I did by accident. More so because this route was more logical and easier than trying to fall towards the slope below into one of the other holes and survive the fall (which was almost impossible). The fences need to have their collision box enlarged and the pillar in between them needs to come back.
• Atlantean Stronghold / The Hive: Many of the lava textures have seams at their edges which show the glow effect of the lava.
• The Hive: In the fleshy room next to the room that's fully lava, there's one actual geometry seam visible. It's somewhere on the side thats directly next to the lava room.
• Atlantean Stronghold: The cave that leads all the way to the top of the level has this weird paper thin opening of the corridor. You can see the corridor clip through the "sky". Some geometry should be added here to make this cave end opening look proper.
• Palace Midas: The exclamation mark icon did not appear at first when standing right up to Midas's hand at the right spot. Pressing action did however bring up the inventory. After turning the first lead bar to gold, now suddenly the icon did show up, without moving Lara at all.
• In cut scenes if you switch to old graphics, her hair is still long.
• Obelisk of Khamoon: The door in the room above one with the panther and a switch opens the other way around.
• The aspect ratio of the TR1 FMVs is incorrect. They are squashed vertically.
[UPDATE #1]
• The trophy Leave Them Sucking Wind for killing every possible enemy in one walkthrough didn't pop in my case. My final statistics show 294 enemies, and as far as I know that's the number.
• Atlantis: There is a sound effect in Atlantis that is glitchy and staticky. It makes it hard to listen to. It is the one that I presume the eggs make.
• Sanctuary of the Scion: After throwing the lever that is to the right of the sphinx, a winged Atlantean should fly towards Lara. But instead it glitches on a wall close to the other lever, as it if spawned in a way it shouldn't, and it remains stuck there. There are two workarounds, as far as I know: 1) Saving and loading will release it from its prison; 2) Getting real close to it (which may result in death as it intends to push Lara of the narrow ledge) will free it too. This enemy ALWAYS gets stuck in the same place, probably the moment it spawns.
• Atlantis levels: Atlantean explosion SFX isn’t correct. Same goes for OG graphics mode. In the original game, each limb that hits the ground has explosion sfx which is very satisfying and bombastic. But in this game there is only one explosion sound for every Atlantean you kill.
• Sanctuary of the Scion: The winged Atlantean that appears after pulling the switch in the sphinx cavern after the slamming doors it's trapped behind a wall.
• The Great Pyramid: I got to the big Atlantis boss, I got its health down a little bit, then saved I and then died, reloaded my save. Then the boss was stuck in one spot unable to move towards me.
• The original game had four samples for Lara's footsteps, it sounds like the remaster is only using one of the four samples.
• The NG+ for TR1 failed to give me the Shell Sucker achievement. Is that a bug or intended? Not sure.
• City of Vilcabamba: Found a sound issue with swinging blades. In the original game, when they are all active, all three make the swinging sound. Not in the remaster, though (PS5 version).
• Natla's Mines: When pulling blocks, the last scraping SFX doesn't play.
• I noticed there's a couple of lines in TR1 that don't really play. After the shimmy excersise Lara should say: "Great! If there's a long drop and I don't want to hurt myself jumping off I can let myself down carefully" (this is file 0044.ogg). This however does not play and instead it skips to the next line (this one plays) "Tap backwards and ill jump off backwards...". After this line Lara should say "Then let go" (file 0046.gg) but it also doesn't play.
• Jaws of Death achievement remains locked.

[TOMB RAIDER 2 / TOMB RAIDER 2 GOLD] LIST OF "BUGS"

:

• I have noticed that you can't shoot with the Harpoon Gun when the harpoon counter says 4/0. 4/0 should actually mean that you still got 4 harpoons left to shoot, but it seems like the 0 makes the game thinks that there's no harpoons left. Not sure if we got the same issue in TR3 since I haven't checked, but it's very possible that could the case.
• I noticed the receptacle for the Dragon Seal in Temple of Xian, seems to be oversized before you put the Dragon Seal in. It corrects to the intended size (I think?) when you place the item. One of the Mystic Plaque receptacles in Floating Islands, too (the left one), sinks into the wall a bit when you place the item.
• I also noticed the parallax effect wasn't on any of the ladders in Tibet, and missing in one instance in Temple of Xian.
• The Great Wall: It's seen in the mountains in the distance that part of the geometry disappears at the side of the screen.
• The Great Wall; Temple of Xian: The little spiders are taking like 10-15 bullets each to die.
• Venice: In the exterior area, where is the new dome with the chandelier that you see from inside the Opera House?
• Venice; Lara's Home: When the music " Venice Violins " is active, in the second part of the music, the game have micro-freezes when lara moves, and the music also have micro-freezes, both in Croft manor and Venice.
• Bartoli's Hideout: the pool full of water with the hidden Uzis has incorrect textures on the water surface.
• Wreck of the Maria Doria: the song when the shaft on the floor falls along with Lara and there's some Fiamma Nera foes, doesn't play.
• Opera House: one of the falling platforms on the roof (the first ones you encounter), the one to the far right falls but has no animation and the texture stays there as if the platform didn't break. Lara just clips through it and fall. Appears to be the case in both remastered and classic graphics.
• Living Quarters: there's a texture of water in the wrong place, in an entrance near to the giant eel.
• There are missing sound effects in Living Quarters and The Deck; namely the death SFX of the gun wielding rig workers and the collapsible floor SFX. These were missing in the original version as well but it’d be nice if they were fixed.
• The Deck: the song when Lara gets the Seraph into the storage room is missing.
• The Deck: just before reaching the Storage Key at the highest point of the ship, there's a strange bug with a blue room that disappears randomly and it shouldn't be there.
• Tibetan Foothills: the ice windows doesn't have any sound when Lara breaks it.
• When Lara climbs on Tibet, there's no sound of foots and hands climbing.
• Barkhang Monastery: when Lara disables the fire on the rooftop, the camera focuses very high and you can see that the textures on the ceiling are missing.
• Barkhang Monastery: The golden star gate has low resolution textures in HD mode.
• Barkhang Monastery: Make the monks take damage from the mercenaries that carries Uzis and not just from the other type of mercenaries that carries handguns. It doesn't make sense how one of the enemies that fights against the monks is completely harmless and useless.
• Catacombs of the Talion: inside the Yeti cages in the dark chamber, bars are missing which means Lara bumps into what appears to be an invisible wall unless you switch to original graphics.
• Catacombs of the Talion: The dark Yeti room also has a hole in the ceiling where the light casts down. As nice as it looks, we shouldn’t be seeing the skybox. There’s another floor above this room that’s accessible in Ice Palace.
• Catacombs of the Talion: some of the loose tiles have no sound.
• Catacombs of the Talion: Camera is momentarily stuck in place when Lara passes a certain spot by the first pool.
• Catacombs of the Talion: Camera glitches when the look button is pressed at the door to the dark Yeti chamber.
• Ice Palace: At the beginning there's some wrong textures appearing randomly inside one of the cells.
• Ice Palace: When the giant fountain pours the hot oil onto the ice, the melted ice looks strange, it has no transparency.
• Ice Palace: At the end of the level, when Lara gets the Talion key. If you search it into the inventory, the Talion key doesn't have the name written below it.
• Temple of xian: at the beggining after you fall into the water you can climb on a ledge (the one with the ladder and the closed door that leads you to the spider cave later) in this room, the waterfall freeze in a very distorted ugly way. It goes back to normal with the look button or on certain angles but mostly it freeze and it's really not pretty.
• Temple of Xian: In the spider cave, some spiderwebs only has one side visible, the other one is missing.
• Temple of Xian: on the cutscene when Bartoli stabs himself. There's no mouth movement at all during the ritual speech.
• Floating Islands: at the beginning of the level, you can see at the distance a rolling ball and some textures that shouldn't be seen.
• Floating Islands: in the room with the walls of fire, when you open the door in the floor to jump into it. There's some moments when part of the room disappears suddenly and appears again after a second.
• Floating Islands: At the beginning there's a missing texture when you're on the door/bridge below that little temple (the one with the jade dragon on top)
• Floating Islands: When you jump on the island after that small door/bridge you can see fire deep down in the dark. It can't be seen in the original because of draw distance I guess?
• Floating Islands: There are broken extra geometry on the left around the closed doors of the same area that requires the two yellow plates. It's not in the original and it's glitchy.
• Floating Islands: You often see when rooms overlapping themselves in some levels, especially in this one.
• Dragon's Lair: the bottom red tip part of the dagger's hilt is misplaced when seen in the dragon's stomach. Instead of being where it should be, it's placed on the blade itself.
• Dragon's Lair: it seems Lara is not pushed away when that big green ball of energy is trigerred by the dragon transformation.
• Home Sweet Home: Lara's braid has the backpack collision.
• Lara's Home: sometimes if you look to the main hall through an exterior window, you can see a blue texture instead of the interior.
• If Lara jumps into shallow water, for example, the tub inside the bathroom or the garden fountain on Lara's Home, there is no splash sound of the water.
• Photo mode: Pose 3 - When Lara crosses her arms, she tucks them into her body.
• While saving on Xbox it’s not updating the level I’m in. It’s still saying Venice even though I’m at the Opera House.
• Furnace of the Gods: the monks next to the gold mask make the wrong sound effects (they do the masked-gunned men sound effects) & the monks in the middle arena in Kingdom too.
• TR2Gold: The polar bears make the wrong sound effects (they do the yeti sound effects).
• TR2Gold: Sometimes the ice warriors will attack Lara unprovoked. (If you back up then delete your saves, then start a fresh playthrough of Golden Mask, the spirit warriors are no longer aggressive. It looks like this bug is related to the monks being aggressive in NG+. Whatever coding they used also applies to the spirit warriors. After you delete your saves, there should no longer be a NG+ option in the new game menu and the spirits won't try to fight you anymore.)
• TR2Gold: Replace the misplaced Fiamma Nera mercenaries in the Furnace of the Gods and replace them with the actual intended distinct mercenaries without the Fiamma Nera symbol.
• Just ran into a bug in Golden Mask where I am suddenly unable to draw my guns or use the action button ingame. Reloading a save doesn't help, neither does restarting the game.
• Some achivements appears randomly or doesn't even appear at all.
• I finished Great wall but I got a Via Caravelli achievement where I finish Venice?
• [PS5 version] I'm currently having issues with water not spawning in at end of 40 fathoms. Shows in camera mode, but when you turn the corner it despawns, meaning you can't finish the level without starting over or level skipping.
• [PS5 version] If you remap action in classic controls photo mode no longer works as reset settings and hide ui become mapped to same controls.
• Cold War: the sheer drop shortly after you get the snowmobile (where you drive through a sheet of ice and off a cliff), sets Lara on fire when she hits the ground. Presumably a legacy death trigger... The tread on the Avalanche snowmobile (which looks like the Fiamma Nera one in remastered mode) is static during movement; I don't remember if this was the case in TR2 itself but the bug is not present with OG visuals, at any rate.
• Cold War: I found a misplaced texture on top of the portal between the two "rooms" of the ice cave (still in Cold War), which is only present in remastered mode. There was also a bit of crumbling ice floor (the very first tile of the "bridge" that leads to the medipack that activates the flipmap in this area) that didn't trigger, making Lara fall through it, if stepped on after activating the flipmap. Works normally if the flipmap hasn't been activated yet, maybe this is a legacy bug. So the unique textures for the GM snowmobiles were preserved! I just found the Avalanche one in Fool's Gold.
• Venice: The giant door for the end of the level was opened from the begining, I don't know how, I activated nothing, just explored a little bit around with the boat and noticed that the door was permanently opened. I just explored the entire area with the boat ( I also killed 3 guys, and I activated a second time the venice violins musics by the trigger near the sewers exit ) and then I back tracked and saw that the door was opened permanently.
• TR2Gold: Most, if not all, of the music triggers so far have been repeatable. If Lara steps on a tile that triggers a music track, it will repeat over and over everytime she steps or remain on it.
• I just completed TR2 on Steam using only Lara's pistols and didn't get the achievement "Very hard boiled". I'm sure I used only the pistols.
• Cold War: When Lara reaches the end of the zip line, if you look to the side where the building is, the textures of the building in the background randomly disappear as Lara moves.
• Kingdom: The shattering gold wall hiding the third secret makes a strange popping noise, rather than the standard "shattering ice wall" sound.
• Nightmare in Vegas: The background texture (with the arrows) for the elevator switches don't animate as they do in the original game.
• Kingdom: The golden pool with four golden waterfalls connected to it has a glow in the classic mode, but it's not present on the remastered mode.
• Kingdom: Some textures with cave paintings are upside down. The four textures of the golden face that is underwater is also upside down.
• [PC version] I moved to pick up a flare only for it to go out just as Lara started the "move to action" animation, and now she's perpetually moonwalking in place toward a flare that no longer exists in Barkhang Monastery. I accidentally saved instead of loading, and she's stuck in that state when I reload from the save. I can't do anything in the game proper, and the "Restart Level" option only appears at death and not from the regular save/load menu, so I'm at a loss as to what I can do besides loading an older save and doing the previous level again.
• Please fix the achievements for Steam. I did three (not getting hurt by the flying discs, killing the T-Rex without any evidence and clearing venice without the boat) and none were triggered. I had one that was triggered late (the Winston in the fridge) and some achievements that were mixed up (the guardhouse jump was switched with some kind of shark achievement).
• Furnace of the Gods: the sound of the flowing river isn't there with the updated graphics. It is there with the original graphics turned on.
• Furnace of the Gods: the bit where the water meets the molten river there’s an overlay on top of the water where it looks like the gold is seeping into the water. It’s not there with modern graphics.
• Nightmare in Vegas: Sometimes the cage of the Guardian won't open, making it impossible to complete the level and access the third secret.
• Temple of Xian: The big spider cocoon in the spider cave does not have the glowing effect in the remastered version.
• Ice Palace: The Talion inventory item doesn't have a name.
• Tibetan Foothills: Crashing bug. After using the lever in the hut and going through the door and killing the snowmobile man, I made a save and died. And whenever I now reload that particular save the game crashes instantly. Reloading the saved game from the beginning of the level does not make it crash.
• Ice Palace: In HD mode, the block hidding the 1st secret it's clearly different from the rest of the wall. This wasn't like that in the original game.
• Wreck of the Maria Doria: At the end, before you jump in for the last swim, in the alcove with the auto clips, the scuba divers can shoot you through the boat, and you see their air bubbles in the room.
• The Great Wall: When going for the golden dragon SECRET, Lara grabs the shimmying-ledge, unlike in the original.
• Fool's Gold: NPC trigger zones at the start of the level and in the ‘rooftops’ area seem to be slightly different than the OG.
• Fool's Gold: There’s a false SECRET chime sound after using the first CardKey 1 (when exiting the ‘rooftops’ area).
• Kingdom: The room with the COINS secret is way too bright.
• Kingdom: In the green room with yetis on the top, pressing the walk button while running stops Lara (she actually glitch-slide-moves) on the wooden bridge, at least on the far one from the entrance.
• Each flare lasts 30 second in TR2 and 60 seconds in TR2G.
• The Tattoos on the arms of the Fiamma Nera masked gunmen guys are mirrored in remastered graphics.

[UPDATE #1]

• Diving Area: I noticed the bottom bunk beds in Oil Rig have been lowered, meaning Lara now floats on thin air (and its like a lot too).
• Diving Area: There are noticable stretched / cropped textures at the start of Diving Area in TR2. Switching to OG graphics you can see how it should look. The texture needs the "full" pattern on these. Mainly the wall with the ladder and the hallway with the door.
• Diving Area: In the water section, in the room at the beginning with giant fan and lever, the floor texture doesn't match the darker tone of the walls. Switching to OG graphics to see. There is a darker texture in the TGA set of TR2 so I assume this is a small error.
• Diving Area: In HD graphics, the swinging hook "traps" now have a small but noticable piece of metal on them. Most likely the 3D model was copied from the static one which holds the thin block later on in the level.
• The Deck: There's a bit of a shocker of a graphical hiccup in the cavern with the lifeboat. On the left side with the goon, there's a few frames when you move the camera which ghosts a lot of graphic over the actual.
• When in water Lara automatically switched to harpoons when you draw, which is fine, but doesn't resort back when you get out, which would be nice.
• The Deck: a lot of pick ups suffer from the invisibility issue, don't recall it in the rest of the boat. The cabin key in particular, the one on the lifeboat, is really tough to see, think I'd have missed it if I'd not remembered it.
• Venice: In NG+, if you select a weapon from the inventory while on the boat, Lara will draw the weapon and can shoot from the boat. If she used only one weapon and drove the boat with the other arm it would be great, but in this case she uses both arms. Obviously it's a bug.
• The Deck: Still no music when you open the door where the Seraph is located. Another missing tracks have been already reported.
• Diving Area: The dialogue between Marco Bartoli and Chan Barkhang at the end of TR2's Diving Area level is no longer hearable. There are only the subtitles without the voices.
• Subtitles for in-game dialogue are gone.
• Barkhang Monastery: I've noticed that graphic flashes keep happening in certain spots, usually doorways, I didn't recall seeing them before the update, and haven't done any other levels. An example point is the passage area where you have to jump through the window and open the door for the monks to get the goons.
• Barkhang Monastery: A slight oddity is the big golden statue (yes, still searching for the jade dragon!) if you push the camera right up to it, there are clouds ghosted in it.
• Barkhang Monastery: The sound of flowing water can be heard even when the pool in the next room is empty. This bug was still in the original, but I hope the developers will fix it too.
• Temple of Xian: The lava passage before the first dragon room with the jade secret, the bit beneath the collapsible floors, the walls under the lava are blue with clouds.
• Temple of Xian: In the room before with the swinging spikes, one side of the lava pools is totally clouded under the surface, with another graphic glitch with invisibility basically being it.
• [PS5 version]: In TR2 and TR3, when I light a flare while running she stops running and I have to wait for the whole animation before I can move here again. Same goes for throwing the flare away. Only way to get around it, is letting go of the run button when pressing the flare combination and then pressing run again shortly after. I am now sure this is because of how the Menu button works on PS5 which you need for the Flare combination R1+Menu. The Menu button always STOPS any movement of Lara on PS5, she will stop running, she will also loose grip or fall from ladders when pressing the Menu button. This is not normal! The menu also only opens if you let go of the button, not by pressing it, which is also very unusual for a button input function in a game and was never that way in TR. I guess if the menu button gets fixed, the Flare problem will be fixed automatically alongside.
• I noticed the breakable wooden floors in Opera House TR2 still doesn't have any SFX.
• Opera House: door on which you used the first key doesn't make any sound.
• Opera House: collapsable floor planks don't make any sound.
• Opera House: elevator doesn't make any sound.
• Opera House: elevator doors have very choppy low-fps animation.
• Opera House: metal fences are flat, whilst the exact same looking fences as a gate are 3D. Would make sense if they were all 3D.
• Opera House: white end-level door that goes up clips right through the wall on top.
• Oil Rig: The plane's propellor has no collision at all. Lara can jump right through it. Would make sense if the center chunk of the propellor did have collision.
• Oil Rig: Would be great to add the cutscene's cockpit mesh to the actual plane here, so you can see the cockpit through the glass.
• Diving Area: The helicopter that takes off when you enter the platform doesn't make any sound at all.
• Diving Area: The yellow submarine doesn't look consistent with the FMV version. Most obviously the bars Lara holds onto are not there. The lid in the center is also more flat and less 3D.
• 40 Fathoms: The fixed cam that shows the outside of the ship for the first time is super short, you can hardly see anything at all.
• Living Quarters: The theater doors don't make any sound effect.
• When the harpoon divers shoot at Lara and miss, you can hear the ricochet sound, which doesn't match harpoons at all, and even less so when you hear it underwater.
• The Deck: The collapsable wooden floors have the stone wooden floor shape which doesn't make sense with the blue wooden planks. I'd suggest to simply make a recolor of the collapsable wooden floors in Opera House.
• Tibetan Foothills: Lara doesn't make a dieing sound when hit by the rolling snowballs.
• Tibetan Foothills: Breaking the shootable ice walls doesn't make any sound effect.
• Barkhang Monastery: The monks clip through the wooden fences on the big staircase in front of Barkhang Monastery.
• Barkhang Monastery: this level is 100% silent. It's missing ambient track.
• Catacombs of the Talion: When shimmying on the ledge above the first Yeti pit, the tense music for the Yeti is already triggered.
• Catacombs of the Talion: The breakable floors in Tibet are missing sound effects.
• Catacombs of the Talion: When picking up the mask that triggers the flip room, you can easily see the room PLOP to its flip mapped version, which also has different lighting. Adding forced camera angles behind Lara's back to all flip map changes would fix all of these issues.
• Catacombs of the Talion: The small square doors with the face on them don't have any sound effects
• Catacombs of the Talion: I noticed whole rooms briefly disappear frequently whilst playing, showing the skybox
• Ice Palace: The bell next to the 3-block platform that can be raised, shows a very odd fixed camera angle that shows the bottom of the 3 raisable platforms. I think it's meant to show the metal gate that is opened by triggering this bell instead.
• Ice Palace: The big gong sound effect is played too late, seconds after Lara actually rings the rong.
• Living Quarters: When the gates of the ship's theatre are opened by using the key, they make no sound.
• Temple of Xian: The sound effect of the small square door seems to be delayed (it plays too late).
• Floating Islands: The blade traps are missing sound effects.
• Floating Islands: When Lara drops down the big green movable block from the ceiling, it makes no sound effect at all.
• Home Sweet Home: The new shotgun model is longer, which makes the tip of the barrel clipsthrough the floor when she puts it down against the wall.
• Cold War: The clear ice has no reflections, while it did in Tibet.
• Cold War: The breakable ice floors somehow re-appear in a half broken state but without actual collision when a save game is made here and you reload.
• Cold War: There's no sound effect accompanying the moment when the 2 snowballs break the huge ice floor. That's really odd.
• Cold War: When picking up the skull secret there's no secret chime.
• Fool's Gold: When opening the first card door, a camera angle + secret chime is shown, but that camera angle doesn't properly show the door that's getting opened. Moving this camera would make this less confusing.
• Furnace Gods: The gold waterfalls and rivers are missing every for of sound effects. Also the waterfalls are missing visual splashing effects at the bottom.
• Furnace Gods: When opening the gold underwater doors, there's a flooding water sound effect missing, indicating that all the water poors out into the gold village area pool.
• Kingdom: The level misses outdoor ambiance.
• Kingdom: The gold panels that the final boss breaks make no sound effect at all.

[TOMB RAIDER 3 / TOMB RAIDER 3 GOLD] LIST OF "BUGS"

:

• Fix the London globe blip location to be in England instead of The Netherlands/Germany.
• All levels: The aquatic levers look very dark and some of them has no sound. As do some switches. This makes them harder to see.
• TR2/3: When Lara throws a flare, she may get stuck or make a move that leaves her in a permanent loop. It has happened to me twice, once in TR2, and once in TR3. In TR2, Lara crashed into an invisible wall while jumping and throwing the flare. In TR3, Lara was left in an infinite loop doing a sidestep after throwing the flare. I'm not sure if this is directly related to the flares animation.
• When Lara has the Desert Eagle equipped, it seems her left hand is stuck in its "idle" pose, whether or not she's reaching for or holding on to a ledge.
• Maxing out flares is still possible, if you have find more than 256 flares, it sets back to 0.
• All Hallows level at the end of TR3 does not load after you’ve collected all the secrets.
• If I restart a level at the beginning of an area like Coastal Village the items will be set back to India status not the area I played before.
• Is it just me, or the amount of ammo, medipacks and flares you regain at the end of High Security Compound doesn't quite match what you had finishing Nevada Desert? I'm playing on an Xbox and checked it a few times.
• Lara's Home: I'd like to see these 2D walls have the same 3D/2D effect that the mansion doors that can't open have.
• There are some cutscenes, for example the ones in Coastal Village and Crash Site, that doesn't work.
• Lara's Home: The gym monkey bars don't have double sided textures which they should. While I was playing the camera showed this clearly.
• Lara's Home: Lara's voice lines explaining the crawling (exercise 6) and climbing/monkey bars (exercise 7) won't play at all.
• Lara's Home: I noticed in the library on the 1st floor, that the two parts of the room on the sides of the fireplace show a very visible lighting seam on the ceiling, floor and walls. The original game had this too I think, but should be fixable in the remaster.
• Lara's Home: The kitchen counter end near the door to the outside has a seam in the mesh just below the counter top.
• Lara's Home: The wood beam on stucco texture with just two vertical bars and one end bar has the shadow ending too soon before the texture ends (seen next to the fridge door on both sides)
• Lara's Home: The front gates are still very much 2D which is even more noticable when you open the gate (the side is missing and it looks totally flat)
• Lara's Home: Some of the new hedge leaves layers are not double sided (for example the ones on the crouch section in the assault course) making them invisible when seen from certain angles. Making these double sided would make these hedges etc look more lush instantly.
• Lara's Home: The 'outside world' area seen outside of the front gate could use some more geometry to make it feel more immersive. The original geometry here is very small and looks really obviously like a tiny filmset.
• Lara's Home: I noticed while improving the Dutch translation that a few tutorial lines that do have subtitles aren't actually used in-game. The original game is missing them too. Would be great to restore these.
• Jungle: The animal motif chandeliers are turning off by themselves when Lara gets out of the room with water.
• Jungle: Both sides of these ruins arches at the beginning should be visible from each side. All this needs is a 'door/open connection' between these two areas. Actually, in contrary to the original TR3, while playing the game you now see parts of the geometry on the otherside appear and disappear depening on the angle you're looking into and how close you are. So it now keeps glitching around.
• Opera House: There's a lever/switch that's basically hidden in the dark in Modern Graphics mode.
• Nevada Desert: Just below the waterfall, there are two entrances that are now hidden by a wall, but Lara can go through that wall. You guys should check out the new mechanics with the waterfall water, because there may be more bugs like this. In the classic game it looks good.
• Nevada Desert: The textures in the modernised version are glitched in some areas. For example: the water puzzle with levers; waterfall section; waterfall with the rocket.
• Nevada Desert: Right after Lara reaches the top of the canyon, near the waterfall, she must climb a roof and grab from a climbable wall. The movement when she approaches to the wall is definitely wrong. Instead of approaching in front of the wall to free herself, she turns around the ceiling. This never happened in the original game, and it makes climbing the wall much more difficult.
• Nevada Desert: The electric fence has no any effect or sound. In the original version it did have effects and sound, especially in the PlayStation version.
• Nevada Desert: The footprints on the sand are very dark, it should be more transparent.
• Nevada Desert: At the top of the waterwheel, there is a circle of rooms (looks like a band of light) where the shadows from the rooms below and above do not match. It creates a super harsh line all around the area. This isn't there in OG graphics mode.
• High Security Compound: The boxes on the conveyor belt are in low resolution, just like the original game, before moving them. And after moving them, the top of the box has the wrong texture. Additionally, the conveyor belt has one of the textures misaligned.
• High Security Compound: One of the locks to activate the plug seems to be floating in the air, it is not aligned with the wall.
• High Security Compound: there's a radar in one of the rooms near the giant satellite dish that is invisible in Remastered mode but is visible in Classic mode. The window textures don't match up either.
• High Security Compound: At the end of the level, when entering the bunker with the truck, there is a texture bug if you look at the truck from inside the bunker, and there are also texture bugs inside the truck.
• Area 51: the MP5 weapon seems to be floating in the air (it has a shadow beneath it).
• Area 51: The pool with the orcas has strange shadows. Maybe there are many light bulbs inside the pool casting many shadows.
• Area 51: the MP5 weapon seems to be floating in the air (it has a shadow beneath it).
• Thames Warf: The water textures are misplaced inside the cathedral pool and the big pools in that... sewage disposal or factory? (I never knew what was that place).
• Thames Warf: The lamp near to Secret N° 5 disappears randomly when Lara moves.
• Thames Warf: There's a collectable blue crystal glitched.
• Thames Warf: I mentioned the double water surface in Thames Wharf. There’s a couple more in that level - one in the second room Lara has to fill with water found at the small opening at the bottom. There is another double surface after this area when Lara emerges from the tunnel.
• Aldwych: The texture for the window of Secret N° 1 is bugged.
• Aldwych: Collapsible floor sfx is missing in Aldwych.
• Aldwych: The ambience music has a crackling sound at the end or the beginning. There is a ‘click’ sound every time the Aldwych ambience track reaches the end before resetting.
• Aldwych: In the room with three doors with a timer there is a well with water nearby. In one of the corners, when Lara slips she gets stuck forever.
• Aldwych: The loose tiles have no sound.
• Aldwych: The ticket panel doesn't become green when is activated.
• Aldwych: The padlock is glitched when it is opened.
• Lud's Gate (Cutscene): When Lara talks with Lud, the camera shows a close-up of Lud, and he disappears for a second.
• Lud's Gate: In the big room with the divers, when you have to be stealthy, the flares do not illuminate, they only begin to illuminate if Lara throws them.
• Lud's Gate: When using the underwater propulsion unit, you can see the effect of water on the unit while you accelerate. But the second time, when you reach that underwater area with 16 entrances, the effect is missing when using the propulsion unit.
• City: There's a missing texture in the ceiling near to the power unit that Lara must shoot to defeat Sophia.
• City: the glow of the eye of Isis is only on the floor below, not on the metal floor.
• City: The lamp near to the artifact was a red intermittent signal for the helicopter in the original, in the remaster it is a regular light, although with intermittent light behind it.
• City: The lamps are pinkish and intermittent in the original game, while in the remaster are simple non-intermittent white lamps for outdoors.
• Coastal Village: There are some texture issues in one of the huts (the bigger in the centre).
• Coastal Village: after using the smuggler's key there's a bug with the crystal. If you drop down from the ledge and go forward after dropping the crystal disappears but there's no sound you picked it up and the statistics show still 0 crystals collected, after that you can't pick it up without loading a previous save. But if you jump back you collect it without problems. I only noticed this behaviour with this one, but who know if others aren't affected as well.
• Crash Site: The airplane's artillery gun does not raise or lower when Lara aims up or down.
• Crash Site: The ambience in the caves prior to getting on top of the plane does not reset to the jungle ambience when emerging from the caves.
• Madubu Gorge: Lara can't grab the monkeyswing route on top of the water spiral from the side of crocodile pond (where she leaves the kayak). The ceiling is too low to jump and grab immediately, Lara just drops down into the deadly water. The level can be completed without going there, but it makes some areas unreachable since there're multiple routes and ways to complete Madubu Gorge.
• Madubu Gorge: The swarm of bats in Madubu Gorge are exactly the same as the original version.
• Madubu Gorge: when Lara is kayaking in the spiral area, the piranhas are able to bite her and it is a lot of damage for her (and the kayak is really slow), I lost over 10 large medipacks to cross the area.
• Encountered a bug in Madubu Gorge where the health bar would not disappear when weapons aren’t drawn. Reloading doesn’t solve the issue. Not sure what caused it but I think it happened when I was fighting one of the ora lizards. Lara wasn’t poisoned but the health bar stayed up ever since then. (PS bug, basically the game "thinks" you was just poisoned but wasn't so the health bar stays on screen unless you heal. I had it happen in the Mines.)
• Antarctica: In the cabin, there's a button on the wall unconnected to the switchboard.
• Antarctica: The shadow of the dinghy is weirdly projected on the ice walls.
• Antarctica: Lara can jump into the dinghy attached to the bow of the ship without needing to touch the button to release it into the water. You just have to slide on the tile in the bow of the ship near the dinghy and you will get on. I don't remember this being possible in the original game.
• First-stage mutants in Antarctica no longer exhale green breath either when Lara is near or when they die.
• Lara doesn't give off breath in the cold weather of Antarctica, the generators of electricity in the same level do not smoke, and other smokes and steams throughout the game are no longer there.
• Antarctica: Some of the lamps are already on when they should be off.
• Antarctica: After passing through the liftgate with the dinghy, there is a red flag that does not move by the wind.
• RX-Tech Mines: Inside the RX-Tech building, the lamps are already turned on before Lara even press the power switch. The lights are turned off in classic mode.
• RX-Tech Mines: When using the mine cart, when the cart turns through small curves, it seems like it is braking alone, due to the sound and the sparks from the wheels. This does not happen in classic mode.
• RX-Tech Mines: There's a signpost that do not change the design or color on the mine cart tracks on modern mode.
• RX-Tech Mines: I'm not really sure, but it seems that climb on top of the mine cart Lara sometimes hits invisible obstacles. And at other times, some of the horizontal columns don't hurt her at all. It seems there's a horizontal bar in mine cart tracks is currently invisible in modern mode.
• RX-Tech Mines: There is a missing texture just below the water surface, where the submersible metal sphere is.
• RX-Tech Mines: After reaching the final area of the level, if you go back to the mine carts area, for example looking the secret hidden behind the RX-Tech building, when you try to reach the final area again, the metalic submarine sphere is up again.
• RX-Tech Mines: I've seen this issue on this level, but it could happen to other levels too. The light emitted by the flares, if it passes through a wall, can generate a very bright or very dark effect on the textures depending the position of the light. It is clearly visible especially in dark areas where Lara climbs a ladder.
• Lost City of Tinnos: The wasps' wings are not translucent like in the original game on modern mode.
• Lost City of Tinnos: There's a missing texture in one of the walls of the labyrinth with crystals, near the hallway with the small medipack.
• Lost City of Tinnos: In the room with the giant heads spitting fire, the transparent platforms can be seen clearly on classic mode, but are almost completely invisible on modern mode.
• Meteorite Cavern (cutscene): The weird voices during the cutscene are cut out or maybe are there, but you can barely hear it.
• Meteorite Cavern: Can you make the new song plays only once during the battle with the final boss? It sounds weird the loop you added. Besides, the song finish abruptly once Willard's mutation dies.
• Meteorite Cavern: Could you add the SFX to the helicopter at the end of the level? You can only hear it once it's landing, but not when the camera focuses on it closely. I don't remember if this also happened in the original game.
• Meteorite Cavern: Could you fix Lara's animation after killing Willard, when she climbs the wall and has to move to the ledge? Whenever Lara climbs the ledge, a part of her body goes through the wall because she can't keep moving to the ledge.
• Exterior ambience does not activate when going outside in Area 51. The only way to hear it is to save and reload when outdoors.
• Highland Fling: the skybox has a sharp separation line.
• TR3Gold: There are no mud/soil ripples (as in TR3).
• Higland Fling: In an open area with boxes, the textures for dirt and leaves are painfully disconnected.
• Higland Fling: There are some rotated / mismatch / wrong textures.
• Willard's Lair: The Cairn Key is incorrectly textured. Parts of it have textures from the stealth fighters in Nevada Desert.
• It's a Madhouse: a bridge in the monkey play area is invisible in the remastered version (Lara walks on air instead). It looks normal in the original version.
• It's a Madhouse: the piranhas are invisible in the modern mode.
• The heartbeat ambience from inside RX Explorer in Antarctica does not revert to the wind ambience when going outdoors. You have to save and reload your game to hear the correct ambience.
• I’ve played the majority of TR3 now and aren’t certain enemies supposed to let off one shot before they die? This hasn’t happened once in my playthrough. They animate as if they’re firing a shot but nothing happens and no gunshot is heard and Lara is unharmed.
• It's a Madhouse: The Hand of Rathmore artifact is invisible in classic graphics mode. You can only see it if you use a flare, and barely.
• Coastal Village: The cutscene at the end refuses to play.
• The water surface with flipmaps is quite a big issue in TR3, mainly with Thames Wharf with the pumps and Cathedral.
• High Security Compound near the big dish. The room that has a switch, windows and a radar machine that beeps.
Has collision but the object is invisible. OG mode it shows OK.
• Area 51: Same for the tram in Area 51. The right side bumper thing which sits on the edge of the tracks is missing (modern only)
• Area 51: A barrier in Area 51's missile silo has no lighting at all so appears bright white. Again only in Modern graphics mode.
• It's a Madhouse: The Hand of Rathmore is visible at the beginning of the level when it should be invisible.
• Reunion: The item count for the last level is wrong (atleast it doesn't bug out a trophy like in TR 1), it should be lowered to 31 for Reunion, because the 32nd item are some flares, that are in a completely unreachable area (even with glitches they can't be reached).
• Highland Fling: The tartan green parts and back logo of the guards’ textures have not been remastered. They just look exactly like the guards seen in London.
• [PC version]: Assigning a new key for dash (to be on key '/' next to the duck key) only works for some time. For some reason, the game kills it after a while (and moves dash to the '-' key) and then you need to reassign it again. This happens very frequently (probably 50 times during my TR3 and TRLA playthroughs).
• Meteorite Cavern: The ambient track seems to be broken: it alternates between the Temple of Xian/Floating Islands spirit whispers background, the Atlantis heartbeat background, the Maria Doria metallic noises background. Which one was correct in the original game?
• Shakespeare Cliff: The first fire vents you encounter only cast the light of fire on the floor. There is no actual fire visible. Had to use OG graphics to see what I was doing.
• Lud's Gate: The textures of the scuba divers in Lud’s Gate do not match those of the original version. It may have been an artistic choice but seems odd to simplify the design rather than keep it faithful.
• Lara's Home: The Scion display pedestal is rotated the wrong way compared to the original game.
• Jungle: The area that you flood has a couple of openings in the walls for lighting, two of these are framed by leaves in the original game which are entirely missing in remastered mode.
• Temple Ruins: the room with the two Shiva statues that you fight for their scimitars, there's a skylight that for some reason has a textured sky rather than a skybox in original game, and this is retained in remastered mode, which looks rather ugly (it's just an inky void).
• River Ganges: I noticed after loading a savegame and getting back on the quad, the jungle theme with the drums started playing? Like, the one that usually plays in Jungle when you're heading through the "corridor" with the tiger. Is this OG behavior?
• Temple Ruins: The blood effect when I shoot the Shiva enemies of six arms is missing in remastered version. In classic mode I see the effect perfectly fine.
• TR3 Photo Finish: Run into the maintenance room before the Damned does. This achievement in the Aldwych level is bugged. I've unlocked it even though I wasn't the first to run into that room. I'm on Steam.
• Highland Fling: The area where there is a well with the meteorite liquid at the bottom, where you have to go up to the roof to get the key flower. If you look outside, you can see the area where Nessie should be, it's very bright. In the original game it looks dark, to hide the limits of the map. There are these types of issues throughout the entire level. You should not only adjust draw distance, but also the shadows.
• Willard's Lair: At the beginning of the level, after avoiding the rolling ball, if Lara goes back to where the ball was, there is a well with water. There is reverb sound at the bottom of the water, but not near the surface.
• Shakespeare Cliff: You can sometimes see loose scenery textures floating around when you look outside, to the skybox, at the beginning of the level.
• It's a Madhouse: Lara leaves footprints on the awnings in It’s A Madhouse!, not a surface she should be leaving footprints on.
• Sophia’s name is spelt “Sophia Lee” in the trophy description for defeating her in Lost Artifact.
• [PS4 Version] A lot of flashing throughout the environment with textures getting white for a second like it’s loading.
• [PS4 Version] White pixels flickering from textures inside closed rooms, breaking immersion.
• Aldwych: I grab all the pickups but the game says i've picked up only 48 out of 50 items. I completed the level on the original Tomb Raider 3 also to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
• Reunion: There is one unobtainable flare pickup. Would love to see it removed, or somehow make it obtainable.
• Highland Fling / Willard's Lair: The animation of the secret door where you have to use the crowbar is bugged in both levels.
• Coastal Village: the firewood in the large hut in the village area is not the same as the firewood in the first small hut you enter on the beach. Speaking of which, there's a skylight in that first small hut, which has a sky painted onto the texture, which is completely blacked out in Remastered mode.
• Coastal Village: The island with the palm trees, visible in the distance from where Lara enters the level, seems to be misplaced underwater in Remastered mode?
• Shakespeare Cliff: I found a collision issue. After using the giant drill to break the wall, if Lara slides down the mound of dirt, she may become stuck due a wrong collision with the front of the drill.
• Sleeping with the Fishes: In the security room, near the 3rd secret, when you look through the windows, the radar screen is invisible, and there's a missing textures on the ceiling consoles. This doesn't happen in classic mode.
• Willard's Lair: I faced a Game breaking Bug. It's possible to be trapped in the spikes room and screw your save by trying to get the first secret, a door that is supposed to open doesn't open, somehow it isn't triggered and you are left trapped in there. I did everything and pulled every switch yet I was still trapped in there. I even switched to old graphics to see if I missed something, yet I was hopelessly trapped. I also entered in the "Abandon All Hope" route, by climbing down to the bottom where there is a crawlspace. I couldn't go back that way either because the ceiling spike trap was down.
• It's a Madhouse: At the beginning of the third secret, after going down the gap in the statue of Joan of Arc, when Lara climbs the ladder at the left, after having collected some items, just below that strange green fog created by the artifact, the texture is not transparent like the others. It appears transparent in classic mode.
• Madubu Gorge: The whirlpool at the end of this level is visually glitchy, seems there's a texture layering issue in the bottom room.
• Reunion / City: Lara's flares do not illuminate when Sophia fires a projectile. This doesn't happen in classic mode.
• River Ganges: There is a ledge that leads to a secret that you cannot grab. I tried dozens of times and Lara never once was able to grab it. You take a rocky slope on the quad bike, shoot two vultures, climb up rock ledges, and then jump across a canyon and eventually grab Desert Eagle clips and a small medipack. For some reason, Lara will not grab the first ledge across the canyon.
• The Uzis clip with the Antarctica outfit's holsters. The Pistols and Desert Eagle too, but less noticeably.
• Antarctica: The first secret (the one you get jumping off the side of the RX Explorer) has a wall of ice that you're supposed to be able to see through from both sides, but it's one-sided (outside only) with the Remastered visuals.
• Thames Wharf: There's a glitchy unobtainable blue crystal. After you extinguish the fire to slide down and then jump into another building there's a crystal and a medipack on the next path, the crystal is frozen and glitchy and cannot be obtained in OG or Remastered mode.
• Lost City of Tinnos: There seems to be a problem with enemies not triggering properly...? I was going through the areas leading up to the second Uli Key, and I did not fight a single enemy past the arena with the three supermutants, because none were present. If it matters, I save-scummed a bit because I was getting the achievement for fighting them pistols-only with no damage, but I don't see how that would affect things, unless there's some sort of bug related to the infinitely spawning wasps (which were missing for me in the earth challenge room as well, prior) based on where/the frequency at which you save.
• Meteorite Cavern: Once you're escaping the crater, the first area with human enemies has a door at the far end that's supposed to open and reveal more of them to fight. This door did not open on my first run through (granted I hadn't killed Willard that time, and perhaps that's what triggers them.
• High Security Compound: It would be nice to see the return of the animated track texture. Similar issue near the end of this level. When Lara presses the button to move the boxes, you see a fixed view of the conveyor belt which is all static. These textures should be animated. In OG PC/PS1, there is one animated texture to the left edge of the screen, but in TTR it is static.
• Saving while crouching and then reloading ocassionally makes Lara stand (with her upper body being in the wall) – but pressing crouch works fine, so she is able to continue.
• Some of the objects on the ceiling affect Lara’s movement on the ground below, if the height of the room is barely twice that of hers (acting as an invisible deflector).
• Some running jumps (with grab) need to be aligned perfectly, unlike in the original – it is first noticeable in “The River Ganges” level (e.g. when trying to get the first secret, the first jump back from the platform next to a room with the secret).
• The native fellow in the room with the head-slicer in the “Coastal Village” level gets triggered only after passing the head-slicer.
• The final level screen display 4 as the maximum amount of secrets.
• Madubu Gorge: The original terrible sound, when opening the plug, has been removed.
• Madubu Gorge: After pulling the plug, piranhas are able to attack Lara in the kayak in the rapids surrounding the opening the plug left, even as she falls down the plug-hole.
• Nevada Desert: When using the ‘monkey bars’, coming close to a climbable wall (under the one with TNT switch & rolling boulder trap), Lara starts to turn around (to the right), so it’s extremely difficult to get her close enough to grab the wall (after letting go off of the ceiling).
• High Security Compound: The panel underneath where Lara drops into the room with the switch to move the satellite dish is invisible.
• Thames Wharf: The original terrible sound, when flipping the 1st switch and the 2nd switch in the area with the tanks, has been replaced, the 3rd remains unchanged.
• Lara can get stuck (aka no movement possible, regardless of keyboard inputs) in the pool with the two switches in the “Aldwych” level.
• Lara’s temperature-meter save & load trick does not work.
• Reunion: Sophia Leigh cannot not be killed by the splash damage from bazooka from behind the pillar she's on.
• Flares last 30 seconds each.
[UPDATE #1]
• Lara's Home: The subtitles are missing.
• Crash Site: There are some visual issues in this level, specifically at the end of Crash City after you blow up the wall to end the level.
• Sometimes Lara can get stuck in crouch mode after the Update 1.
• Started TR3's NG+ and my statistics don't count the amount of crystals I've used (the line is there but it always states 0).
• RX-Tech Mines: If you take the middle-level cart to get into the cavern with the pool and snowbanks, the guy with the flamethrower can fall into the pool killing himself.
• Sleeping with the Fishes: the lights of the spheric submarines looks bugged.
• Sleeping with the Fishes: the song when Lara finds the second secret (the one with the old submarine) repeats itself two times.
• High security compound: The windows in front of where the weapons are stashed can be walked through one way.
• Area 51: The long tunnel with electric currents running through. Looking through the windows the blue electric charges disappear.
• Aldwych: Signs pointing way out and other information, points the opposite direction on the other side. Also some doors say 'No unauthorized personnel', etc. backwards.
