LOCAL COORDINATION STRUCTURE
Palanca Coordination Forum
Palanca is the main border crossing point on the Moldova-Ukraine border which hosts most of the Ukrainian refugees. Local authorities, with the support of UNHCR, organized a coordination forum in the last week of March 2022 to coordinate the efforts of partners providing assistance and assistance to refugees. The coordination forum is made up of 11 organizations that meet weekly to coordinate refugee assistance efforts, local contingency planning, information dissemination and site planning. As part of contingency planning, efforts are being made to increase and strengthen the capacity of the Palanca bus.
Otaci coordination forum
Otaci is the main border crossing point in northern Moldova with Ukraine. The first field coordination forums were convened by UNHCR with the support of local authorities in Otaci on 31 March. Since then, the group has come together to collaborate on the development of a referral mechanism at the local level, efforts to support refugees, provide information to refugees and work on the development of a plan of emergency coordinated at the local level.
